This prevents the player from getting the first two Star Medals, however. advertisementWhen the level begins, you’ll be in a room with three paintings on the wall one of piano keys, one of an empty Question Mark Box, and one of an open book. A platform will be teleporting from one picture to the next before appearing briefly at the rear of the room. Wait for the platform to appear on the floor and step on it. As the platform teleports, Mario will be teleported along with it. Enter the piano painting and you’ll be teleported to one end of a giant piano. Run along the keys to the end of it and you’ll find an Exclamation Point Warp Box that will take you back to the starting room. Star Medal 1 When you enter the Piano Room you’ll see a P Switch. Jump on this and some coins will appear, including a Star Medal about halfway down the length of the you return, enter the block painting. This will take you to a room containing a large stack of blocks, with four warp Blocks scattered about them. The block structure is actually a 3D visual puzzle. There is no eye tile to step on, so your only clues come from using the 3D slider. The warp Block in the top left corner is the one that leads out of the room. Star Medal 2 You’ll find this Star Medal just floating around the block room, doing laps along a repeating path. Just grab it as it passes enter the painting with the book on it. This will take you to a room resembling a library. Initially it will look like there’s no way forward, but if you approach the rear wall it will start to slide back, revealing a ramp leading to the upper portions of the room. Make your way to the upstairs before the wall slides back into its original position. Star Medal 3 When you reach the upstairs portion of the library, stick near the front by the red carpet. Wait for a moment and the Star Medal should appear out of the wall. Just jump up and grab before it passes here, things will again look like a dead end. Run all the way to the rear of the upstairs area, and you’ll come to a wall resembling a book case. The center portion of this wall is actually false; you can walk right through it, revealing another warp Block. Use it and you’ll teleport to another section of the library. Run across the two moving books to the far wall, then head to the right. Certain books will move in and out of the bookshelf, blocking your path and possibly even pushing you off, so tread cautiously. You'll eventually come to a tightrope; crossing it leads you to a platform with staircases, at the top of which are three 10-second Clocks. Beyond this is a second tightrope, but when you try to cross it, a Big Boo will appear to block your way. To get past, lure it close to you, then use the tightrope to jump over it. D'après Shigeru Miyamoto, il savait que la transformation en statue serait dure à comprendre en Europe et en Amérique mais il a tellement voulu diffuser cette idée qu'il l'a conservée dans le jeu.
